Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 September 2026
In short. paxID helps you prepare for travel and book flights. paxID OÜ sells your ticket and takes your payment. Your card is charged only once your ticket is issued. Entry information is guidance, not immigration advice, and paxID never guarantees that you can board a flight or enter a country. Airlines, payment providers and travel partners remain responsible for their own services. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for having the right to manage the travellers you add.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and paxID OÜ (Juhkentali 8, Tallinn, 10132, Estonia, registry code 17608154) (“paxID”, “we”, “us”). paxID OÜ is the seller and the merchant of record for everything you buy from paxID, and the company you have this agreement with. paxID LLC publishes the paxID apps in the app stores; it does not sell to you. By creating an account, joining a launch flow, buying a product, or using paxID, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use paxID.
2. What paxID provides
- Travel readiness: information about visas, travel documents, forms, health rules, transit, proof-of-stay, proof-of-onward-travel and related requirements for journeys you create or explore.
- Traveller profile: secure storage for travel identities, documents, addresses and contact details, so they can be reused across searches, requirement checks, forms and bookings.
- Flight search and booking: an online travel agency service that helps you search for flights that fit your travellers, documents and travel windows, and book flights operated by third-party airlines.
- Mobile data (eSIM): not available yet. Section 10 explains how it will work when it launches.
- Document and confirmation tools: optional scanning, upload, forwarding, parsing and review tools to help prepare trips and forms.
3. Your account and traveller profile
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password and account secure, and for using paxID only for travellers whose information you are authorised to manage. paxID stores your traveller profile securely and describes how it is protected in our Privacy Policy. You can use paxID on the website and in our apps with the same account.
4. Entry-requirement information is guidance
We work to keep entry information useful and current, but rules change, data sources can be incomplete, and individual facts can matter. paxID provides information to help you prepare. It is not legal, immigration, medical or travel-agent advice, and paxID never guarantees that you may board, transit, enter, remain in, or leave a country. You remain responsible for checking and meeting the requirements that apply to you. Border, immigration, airline and public-health decisions are made by the relevant authorities or carriers, not by paxID.
When a trip needs a visa or another travel permission, paxID links you to the official application. paxID does not sell visas and does not charge government fees. You apply and pay the government directly.
5. Optional scans, uploads and forwards
You may choose to scan identity documents, upload screenshots or PDFs, or forward confirmation emails. These tools are optional and may use third-party document-reading, parsing or storage providers. You must review extracted details before relying on them. paxID is not responsible for mistakes caused by unclear scans, incomplete documents, incorrect source data, or your approval of incorrect extracted details.
6. Booking flights
When you book a flight through paxID, paxID acts as an online travel agency and facilitates a contract of carriage between you and the airline. Your ticket is issued by an airline ticketing partner under its own accreditation. The airline operates the flight under its own conditions of carriage. The airline's fare rules, conditions of carriage, baggage policies, check-in rules, passenger-name rules, schedule-change policies and operational decisions apply. paxID is not the operating carrier and is not responsible for airline delays, cancellations, denied boarding, schedule changes, baggage handling, seat changes, service quality, or the airline's refusal to carry you, though we will assist where required or commercially reasonable.
How a booking works:
- When you press Pay, paxID checks the price and availability again.
- paxID then places a temporary hold on your card (an authorisation), with your bank's security check (3-D Secure) where required, and books your ticket.
- Your card is charged only once the airline ticket is issued. This usually takes about 15 minutes and at most about an hour.
- If the ticket cannot be issued, the hold is released and you are not charged. Your bank decides how fast a released hold disappears from your statement.
- You are never charged more than the price shown when you pressed Pay.
7. Where paxID sells flights
At launch, paxID does not sell flights to customers in the United Kingdom, Denmark, or the US states of California, Florida, Hawaii, New York and Washington, because they require extra travel-seller registrations or protection schemes. All other paxID features remain available there. At launch, one order can include up to 9 travellers and up to EUR 10,000.
8. Prices and extras
Prices are the total for all travellers, including taxes and fees. At checkout and on your receipt, paxID's fees are shown as their own lines inside that total: a booking fee for the booking and, when paxID charges one, a service fee per traveller. Our Refund Policy explains when each fee is refunded. You can pay in your own currency where paxID supports it. Any cost of converting currency is already inside the price shown in that currency, and nothing is added when you pay. Airline prices and availability can change until you press Pay. Optional extras, including bags, seats, priority boarding and meals, are subject to airline rules and availability.
9. Travel insurance
When paxID offers travel insurance, it is sold by a licensed insurance partner. That partner is the seller and merchant of record for the policy, takes the payment, and handles claims and refunds. paxID does not collect insurance premiums.
10. Mobile data (eSIM)
paxID does not offer mobile data yet. When it launches, it will work like this:
- You add a prepaid mobile-data balance in the app. Data you use is charged per megabyte, at the rate for the destination where you use it. Rates can change.
- Your balance never expires. It can only be used for mobile data. It cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
- Within 14 days of a top-up, the unused part of it can be refunded to your original payment method. After that, the unused balance is refunded only for faults we cannot fix, when paxID cannot provide the service, or where the law requires it. Our Refund Policy explains these cases.
- An eSIM that is not used for about two months is frozen automatically. You can unfreeze it in the app.
11. Payments and saved cards
You authorise paxID and its payment providers to place a hold on and then charge your selected payment method for the flights, fees and optional extras you choose, as described in section 6. You enter card details in the payment provider's secure fields. If you save a card, the payment provider keeps it and gives paxID a token for it. paxID keeps that token with the card brand, last four digits and expiry date so you can recognise the card. Payment providers, banks and card networks may approve, decline, hold, reverse, investigate or refund payments under their own rules.
12. Cancellations, changes and refunds
Refund eligibility is set out in our Refund Policy. In summary, airline tickets are refundable only where the airline's fare rules or applicable law require it. If the airline cancels or significantly changes your flight, you can accept the airline's alternative or ask for a refund to your original payment method. Changes and cancellations you ask for follow the fare rules, and paxID shows you the airline's and the ticketing partner's charges before you confirm. Name corrections and date changes are made through support. The US airline 24-hour cancellation rule generally applies to airlines and does not require online travel agencies like paxID to offer the same free-cancellation window, unless paxID states that a fare includes one.
13. Acceptable use
Do not misuse paxID. You must not use paxID for fraud, unauthorised access, scraping, reselling, security testing without permission, fake identities, payment abuse, unlawful travel activity, infringement of others' rights, or activity that violates applicable law or supplier rules. We may suspend or close accounts, block transactions, refuse service, or preserve records where reasonably necessary to protect paxID, users, suppliers or legal rights.
14. Third-party services
paxID depends on airlines, airline ticketing partners, payment providers, document-parsing providers, cloud providers, email providers, government websites, travel-data providers and other third parties. Their terms, privacy notices, service limits and legal duties may apply. paxID is not responsible for third-party websites or services outside our control.
15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, paxID is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free requirement data, successful bookings, successful refunds, boarding, or entry into any country. To the fullest extent permitted by law, paxID is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, travel disruption, border decisions, airline performance, provider outages, or your failure to meet travel requirements. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Changes to paxID and these terms
We may update paxID, change providers, add or remove features, adjust country coverage, change prices, or update these terms. We will give notice of material changes where required by law or where the change materially affects a paid product you are using.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
18. Contact and support
For help with a booking, a refund or your account, use support in the app or email [email protected]. Urgent issues come first: travel within 24 hours, cancellations and tickets that could not be issued. For privacy and data requests, email [email protected].
